With more than 15 years of agency and in-house experience in corporate public relations and brand marketing communications, Brendan is a leader in innovating creative new strategies to engage influencers and key customers. Brendan has advised numerous public and private sector clients on reputation and issues management, helping craft and execute strategic communications and public relations plans.
Brendan has served as a spokesperson for numerous clients, including Grocery Outlet, Togo’s Sandwiches, Takt Inc (now Formation.ai), Wild Oats Marketplace and the National Foundation to End Child Abuse & Neglect. He has been quoted in major national and international publications, including the New York Times, Los Angeles Times, BBC and National Public Radio.
Prior to joining the Miller Public Affairs Group team, Brendan was the head of El Segundo-based Fresh & Easy Neighborhood Market’s public relations, corporate communications and customer engagement teams. At Fresh & Easy, he managed company messaging, brand development and reputation. He was the lead communications strategist through the sale and transition of the company to a new ownership group and served as a key crisis consultant on the subsequent wind-down and closure of the business.
Prior to joining Fresh & Easy, Brendan managed public affairs and communications strategies for corporate and political clients at APCO Worldwide. Clients ranged from Sacramento Area Flood Control District, California Grocers Association, Transmission Agency of Northern California and San Diego Gas & Electric. Brendan began his career managing candidate and issue campaigns at Phil Giarrizzo Consulting in Sacramento.
